Robert Newman is an attorney in private practice in Santa Ana, California.
In addition to Criminal Defense and Family Law matters, Mr. Newman's practice focuses on civil litigation involving animals. Mr. Newman's work on behalf of animals has gained international media attention, from Australia to Singapore. He has been interviewed by The CBS Evening News, NBC World News Tonight with Peter Jennings, ABC News with Tom Brokaw, and 48 Hours with Dan Rather. He has appeared in Newsweek Magazine, USA Today, The Los Angeles Times, The Daily Journal, and The Christian Science Monitor, to name a few. Mr. Newman is recognized as a leading authority on animal law. He has been named a lifetime member of The National Registry of Who's Who Among American Lawyers. Mr. Newman has lectured at UCLA Law School and California Western School of Law. He shares his office with his Chihuahua, Ruben, who is quite accomplished in his own right.
